VAAY, a German CBD company, has just released its list of the most and least stressful cities to live in. The company hopes the study will bring awareness to the effects of someone's environment on their mental health.
Researchers analyzed different cities in the world according to indicators across governance, environment, finance, and health to rank the least and most stressful cities to live in right now. Check out the least stressful cities below.
Reykjavik, Iceland
Bern, Switzerland
Helsinki, Finland
Wellington, New Zealand
Melbourne, Australia
Oslo, Norway
Copenhagen, Denmark
Innsbruck, Austria
Hanover, Germany
Graz, Austria
While India's Mumbai, Nigeria's Lagos, and the Philippines' Manila ranked at the bottom of the index. Manila's total was brought down by its traffic congestion score and unemployment rate. But, the city fared well when it came to citizens' health.
"There's no doubting that we live in stressful times, dealing with circumstances that are often beyond our control, yet when we think about the sources of our daily stress it’s easy to focus on things that are small and fleeting. Likewise, while we consider the significance of the daily pandemic news cycle, we can lose sight of the ever-present elements that surround us and impact our everyday lives," the study said.
